CYVBC Surge has players from all over the tri-state area!

CYVBC Surge is dedicated to more than volleyball (#WEoverme)
  • In 2023-2024 we made over 50 blankets for the homeless
  • In 2024-2025 we donated over 680 items to the Talbert House
  • We have a big sister/little sister program in place for our 11's/12's, 16's/17's
    • This is a mentor program for our big sisters to offer up their knowledge and love of the game to the little sisters
    • They also get to scrimmage 2-3 times a year with each other and support each other at tournaments!

The coaches on our staff have coached and played in college and/or high school to share their expertise in training our players.
  • Most of the coaches on our staff have been with us for 6+ years, and are always learning new drills, skills, tips, tools, and demonstrations.
  • As we grow our club, we are also growing our coaching staff! We are excited to bring more experienced coaches to our staff.

We conveniently train out of the Clippard and Gamble Nippert facilities.
  • These facilities are located within close proximity of major interstates and low traffic volume to allow ease of access.​
  • The YMCA is a non-profit organization that allows us to better control our player fees to keep costs affordable for all as well as allowing the club to focus more on the quality of our teams rather than the quantity of teams.

CYVBC Surge competes in the Ohio Valley Region (OVR) division of USA Volleyball which is the largest division in the country.
  • We are also proud JVA and AAU Volleyball members.
  • ​CYVBC Surge abides by all Ohio Valley Region (OVR), USA Volleyball (USAV), and Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) rules.

CYVBC Surge offers multiple skill clinics on Saturday mornings throughout the season for each of our players. These skill clinics are positional based, are free of charge, and are ran by different coaches each week.

Surge offers speed, agility, and mobility training at Clippard on Saturday's. These are free for our Surge players to attend! We also offer at-home workouts for when we are not there, or to keep them active throughout the week. 

CYVBC Surge also offers private skill lessons, group skill clinics, and age-level skills camps throughout the summer. Both the club directors and the club coaches run these to enhance improvement of players skills throughout the summer before the start of their fall school seasons.

​CYVBC Surge offers extensive training with 2-3 teams per age group, in order to place players with their correct skill level for further development.

​CYVBC Surge offers National, National-Lite, American, and Regional Teams. Since we are club members of USAV, JVA, and AAU, we have a range of tournament options
  • ​Our National teams began in 2022-2023 season, and compete in a range of tournament divisions: Open, Premier, USA, National
  • Our "National-Lite" teams are similar to American but compete in most, or all, USAV tournament divisions: Premier, Club, Select, Liberty, American, Patriot
  • Our American teams compete in some USAV tournament divisions: Premier, Select, American​
  • Our Regional teams compete regionally in OVR tournaments, but do occasionally attend USAV tournaments in the following divisions: Club, Select

We have had multiple college commitments, and are excited to further our recruiting process in order to open up more opportunities for our players to achieve their goals playing at the next level.
